A great blog on hot cocoa, and it’s origins ;
Because it’s that time of year on Bofin (and further afield) for drinking heaps of it !

One of the beautiful Inishbofin beaches captured on the ferry to the mainland this week
I just love this photo – something very simply heartwarming about it …
The description read : “In the early spring shepherds drive huge flocks of livestock, here sheep, mules, donkeys, and goats from the Pre-Alpine hills to the plains of Lombardy, for grazing. The newborn lambs are carried in a custom made side saddle by the donkeys, and returned to their mothers at rest time.” Courtesy of avantgarden.org facebook page. Photo: Elspeth Kinneir
I had to make the difficult decision to euthanise one of my beautiful burmese cats last week, 11 year old Putin who, had been living on the island with me since he was a kitten, along with his sister cat. Sadly, Putin was in the latter stages of skin cancer. Too upset to post anything last week, I wanted to remember him on my blog today.
This is the view from the cottage where I hold my workshops … until the weekend just gone that is. Sadly the gable of the herring shed, and the pier demolished with winds, waves and exceptionally high tides … very sad to see.
